Time to build yourself a nest in 9 Easy Steps

Step 1: The Key Ingredient
The first thing you need to build your own nest is a wire mesh frame to build on and to allow for safety. Nests need to be safe.

Step 2: Grab Some Sticks
The main component to nest building is sticks, so gather a bunch and have fun with it.

Step 3: Setting the Sticks
Crisscross the sticks and use the mesh to hold them in place. Continue adding in a back and forth circle pattern. I also grabbed some burlap for the cozy nest center.

Step 4: Time for Twine
If you can get your hands on some twine and rough it up it will make for a functional good look.

Step 5: Tie it Down
I should have made the twine less decorative and more useful. Take this moment to tie your stick bundles to the mesh.

Step 6: Adding the Odds and Ends
Find some pine needles or leaves to fill in the gaps.

Step 7: Ready for the Tree
Now that you have the nest looking good go find a ladder and a tree to give it a home.

Step 8: Landing the Nest
This was the tricky part. I should have tied mine together more and compensated for the limb configuration. Recommend getting it in the tree before you make it too pretty because you will have changes and fixes to your nest.

Step 9: The Final Nest
After you have made the final touches and prepped it, be careful when putting your weight on it because you cannot fly. Seriously Secure your nest before nesting.
